라이덴 대학교(Leiden University)

라이덴대학교는 네덜란드 남부 라이덴에 있는 공립 연구중심 종합대학교이다.
이 대학교는 스페인에 대항해 독립전쟁을 벌인 윌리엄 오라녜 공이 1575년 라이덴 마을에 세운 대학으로 네덜란드에서 가장 오래된 대학이다. 라이덴대학교에는 7개 학부에 50개의 학과가 있고 40개 이상의 연구소가 있다. 헤이그에 제2의 캠퍼스가 있다.
유럽의 명문대학 39개가 설립한 코임브라(Coimbra)그룹의 일원이고 유럽연구대학동맹의 창립회원이다. 라이덴대학교는 2023년 타임스고등교육의 세계대학평가에서 세계 77위로 꼽혔다. 2023년 QS 세계대학순위에서는 세계 131위를 기록했다.
라이덴대학교는 고고학부와 인문학부, 사회 · 행동과학학부, 행정 · 국제학부, 법학부, 의학부, 과학학부 등 7개의 학부로 구성돼 있다. 50여개의 학사과정과 100개의 대학원과정이 개설돼 있다. 대학교를 졸업하면 학사자격을 취득하고 일반대학원이나 특수대학원에 진학하여 석 · 박사과정을 다닐 수 있다

For students who are at conservatory or art school level, we also have the option to combine an academic study with fine arts that I mentioned. We have the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (APCA) where we partner with the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, along with the KABK in The Hague. This is a unique programme in the Netherlands.
